Hard to believe we have come to the end of the spring 2023 lacrosse season!  The girls have made so much progress in their skill development, positioning, aggressiveness, and overall understanding of the game.  We are proud of them.  We have our last stand this Sunday at 3:30PM in Acton.

Please confirm your daughter’s attendance at the game through the Team Snap app, so we have an accurate count for the game - and know whether we need to borrow players.   We do expect (and need) girls to attend, barring injury or travel. 

Sunday’s Game Details (June 11)

Opponent:  Acton Boxboro ⅞ Blue

Field: Leary Field (22 Charter Road in Acton, MA)

Arrival Time: 3:00PM

Game Time:  3:30PM

Uniform:  Blue

Equipment:  stick, lacrosse goggles. Mouthguard and water bottle (and NO JEWELRY)

Hi All,

Lacrosse is back!  We’ve had a few weeks off and are looking forward to our HOME game on Sunday at 2:30PM at DeFazio.

NGYL is also partnering with the Needham Community Council to run a food drive in support of our local Food Pantry.  Our grade level is responsible for contributing salad dressings and mayo.  Please consider bring a bottle (or a few) to Sunday’s game. More details below.

Needham Girls Youth Lacrosse, in partnership with Needham Boys Lax, is helping to support Needham Community Council to Help Stock the Food Pantry Shelves for the Summer. 

The goal is to collect specific pantry items over the last two weeks of the season for the NCC (through Thursday, June 8).   

Pantry Items by Team: 

• 3/4: Coffee / Tea

• 5/6: Cooking Oil (olive, avocado, coconut, vegetable oil)

7/8: Ranch & Italian Salad Dressings/Mayo
