NGYL is a developmental lacrosse program for girls in grades 1-8 who live in and/or attend school in Needham. Our primary season is in the spring, though we look to offer lacrosse activities in the fall and winter, including Fall Ball (a 4-5 week series of games in the "small ball" format) and occasional clinics.

Our Spring season runs from April 1st through mid-June and provides opportunities for girls to participate in clinic programs (first and second grade) and balanced travel teams (third through eighth grade).

No prior playing experience needed for grades 1 - 8 teams and all are encouraged to play.  NGYL works to create balanced teams at each grade level.

Select Teams: We also offer a Select Team for Grades 5/6 and 7/8.  We will hold tryouts for Select Teams in January 2024. Select team players must also play on a town travel team. Select Games are on Friday evenings in the spring and do not conflict with regular town games. 

We are part of the Founder’s Girls Lacrosse League,  established in 2008.  The emphasis of FGLL is to create balanced teams at each age level to teach and promote skill-building, teamwork, healthy competition and fun.
